Somewhere
at the end of 2000 we found out about the Disney
Cruise Line.
Wouldn’t that be something! Doing a Disney
cruise! Maybe someday!
While gathering information about the cruises,
in the beginning of 2001, we found out about a
new itinerary: the
Western Caribbean, starting in May 2002.
Let’s do that!
Finally in July 2001 we booked our first Disney
cruise heading for the Western Caribbean,
leaving on May 11, 2002.
That was an “excellent” experience. Something to
cherish, something to do again. But not too
often, just to keep it special.
In 2005 we wanted some “excellent” times, so we
decided to do another cruise. But then, we did
the
Eastern Caribbean and we did the Halloween
cruise. Again, an “excellent” experience.
The next cruise was planned on New Year’s Eve
2007. We wanted to do that for both our 40th
anniversary; Peter became 40 in 2007 and I
became 40 in 2008. A cruise leaving in 2007 and
arriving 2008. We loved the idea.
By the time we wanted to book that cruise, we
found an announcement on the website about
the Panama Canal cruises. Mmmmm, that would
be something; a 15-night cruise!
We did a lot of thinking and calculating. Yes,
let’s do it, no we don’t, yes, no, …. Finally we
decided to go for the Panama Canal cruise
instead of the New Year’s Eve cruise..
January 31, 2007 we did all what was in our
power to book a stateroom on the Disney Magic
for the Western Panama Canal Cruise. After 2
hours we finally succeeded. We did!
And so our third cruise was a fact.
