Arizona - Route 66

If you ever plan to motor west Travel my way,
the
highway that's the best Get your kicks on Route 66!

Take a trip down the Mother Road, to a simpler, slower time in American history.  Route 66 was the gateway to the golden Pacific, starting in Chicago and ending at the beach in Santa Monica nearby Los Angeles.  The route was about 2400 miles and passed through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.   Unfortunately, many of the towns along Route 66 have become modern ghost towns as the high speed Interstate passed them by.   Route 66 is a road destined to live on in our memories.
